Acompanying text:
Inspired by Albrecht Dürer's "Das kleine Rasenstück" I explored the seduction of the attention to detail. The result was numerous outdoor watercolors, which were painted over a period of several months in a wild meadow near Cobenzl, Vienna. Each visit resulted in a watercolor. Parameters such as weather, fauna and flora formed clues that, in their atomized ecstasy, dissolved into colors and shapes. The tender collision and mutual accompaniment of charged nature with the movements of the brush and the pen, which sometimes felt like the flight of a butterfly, the leap of a grasshopper, or the emergence of the sun, or even the visit of a wanderer who happened to be passing by.
